As you can probably tell from our lack of recent product blogs, our team has been hard at work on some big new features. For those users paying close attention, you will have noticed some much needed improvements in the product. As fun as it is discovering new features, we thought it would be a good idea to give you an overview of the biggest changes.

Responsive Dashboard Layout

For a long time our dashboard has been restricted to a single column layout, no matter the screen size. On large screens (and we have some large screens in our office), it looked a little ridiculous. To fix this, we've introduced a new responsive dashboard layout system!


Depending on the size of your screen, your dashboard will have up to 3 columns. This increase in columns allows you to maximise your screen real estate by reducing the amount of scrolling you need to do to examine your data in Kapiche.

New Data Widgets

When drilling down to a saved query, while you're able to review the verbatim that matches the query and the context around the query, you were missing visibility of structured data which is often required to make your insight truly actionable.


We've completely overhauled this screen and added several new widgets such as Sentiment, NPS, Field Segmentation, and more.






Being able to drill-down and see not only the context of the topic your customers are discussing, but the NPS score, Sentiment scores, and other structured data makes the insights you get with Kapiche significantly more actionable.

These are the most noticeable changes, but they aren't the only ones. In the last three months, our engineering team has closed over 100 tickets! That's a mixture of new features, bugs, and quality of life improvements.

On top of this, we are tracking over 50 other pieces of feedback we have received from our customers. We take great care in considering all the feedback we get so we can make the most impactful changes to the product to make your life easier. With that in mind, here's a glimpse into what we're working on right now:

  • Emergent Concepts: While you can view emergent concepts right now in Kapiche, doing so is cumbersome and requires the creation of additional analyses. We are testing a new screen to see emergent concepts and verbatims that aren't captured by your saved queries in one place. If you want to test this out for yourself, please contact us.

  • Improved insights into structured data: It's great being able to understand exactly what your customers are talking about and segment that understanding using structured data to find actionable insights. However, having to go into a different tool to get purely structured data insights (like NPS per region for example) can be frustrating. In the future, you'll be able to see these insights in Kapiche without having to use other tools.

  • TV Dashboards: Our current Dashboards are great for finding insights, they aren't so great for sharing those insights. We are thinking about how we can adapt dashboards to be more about sharing insights (even if they are on a TV).

  • In-product onboarding: Our Head of Customer Success, Tami, has been working hard on a new interactive onboarding tour to make getting started with Kapiche significantly easier. We're sure it will also be useful as a refresher for existing users as well!
